gram's peach glaze pie

i realize that my photos leave something to be desired, but you get the basic idea.

this recipe is from my Grandma. who got it from her friend Fonda. i call it gram's though because it reminds me of her. it uses sliced fresh peaches with a cooked glaze topped with whipped cream. i look forward to peach time every year just to make this yummy pie.
gram's peach glaze pie

2 cups sliced fresh peaches
your favorite pie crust

for the glaze: 1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter

bring to a boil and stir until thick. take off stove and add butter. cool. layer your favorite pie crust with half of the peaches. top with half the glaze. layer the rest of the peaches. top with remaining glaze. top with whipped cream and serve! and really it's best if you are expecting company, that way you don't eat the whole pie yourself.
